Background
When the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham needed a software solution that would enable their audit team to monitor the work of external contractors more efficiently, they called on Integral Mobile Data to develop a system to suit their needs. The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham is one of the UK’s leading local authorities. It was graded as excellent by the Audit Commission and was the only Local Authority to achieve the maximum score in their assessment.

Like many authorities, Hammersmith and Fulham outsource several council activities to commercial contractors. In order to ensure that the residents of Hammersmith and Fulham receive the best quality from these external contractors, a best value audit team inspects and reports on contracts; imposing penalties where necessary to ensure that the best service is provided.

Solution
However, collecting this information and entering it into back office systems was an expensive and time consuming operation.
